Below are the Day 2 Meals from a Sample Three Day Meal Schedule. Remember, this is only a sample to show you how to do your own.

Day 2 - Breakfast

Menu
  • Hotcakes 
  • Honey
  • Syrup
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jelly
  • Raisins
  • Cider 
  • Purify enough water for hot cider and hotcakes for all plus 4 quarts for washing dishes.
  • Wash hands with soap & water & dry with paper towel. 
  • Outside only: Light burner. 
  • Mix and cook hotcakes per instructions on Bisquick box.
  • Warm water for hot cider. 
  • When this water is warm, spoon it out with cup or ladle into foam hot water cups and let it continue to heat for cleanup. 
  • For each cup, pour one envelope of hot cider mix and stir well.
  • Pour one box of raisins on each plate 
  • Enjoy! 
 Cleanup
  • Using a nylon scrubber, dish soap & hot water, wash sauce pan and utensils and dry with paper towel. 
  • Put all trash in a trash bag. 
  • Be careful not to poke holes in trash bag. 
  • Do not put anything hot in trash bag. 
  • Store trash bag in secure place. 
  • After the burner is cool, store it inside a plastic bag so the cooking smells will not attract critters. 
  • Wash hands with soap & water, dry with paper towel and use sanitizer. 
 Store

Store the following:

  • Bisquick
  • Dish soap 
  • Hand sanitizer 
  • Hand soap 
  • Matches 
  • Paper Towels
  • Trash bag 
  • Water 

For each person

  • One paper plate 
  • One 9 oz. cup 
  • One plastic spoon 
  • One napkin
  • Honey Packet
  • Syrup Packet
  • Peanut Butter Packet
  • Jelly Packet 
  • Small box of raisins
  • Instant hot cider packet 

Equipment used:

  • Burner (one of the following)
    • Alcohol burner 
    • Buddy burner 
    • Gel fuel stove 
    • Hobo stove 
    • Propane stove 
    • White gas stove 
    • Wood burning stove 
  • Dish rag 
  • Fry pan or griddle
  • Large bowl 
  • Nylon scrubber 
  • Paper towels 
  • Stirring spoon - Large 
  • Water purifier 




Day 2 - Lunch

Menu
  • Instant Lunch in a cup
  • Beenee Weenees
  • Applesauce
  • Cheezits
  • Instant Gatorade
  • Wash hands with soap & water & dry with paper towel.
  • Purify enough water for cooking Instant Lunch and washing dishes.
  • Outside only: Light burner & put grate on top.
  • Put water in sauce pan and heat with burner.
  • Follow instructions on Instant Lunch package to prepare Instant Lunch
  • Open Beenee Weenees and remove label from can.
  • Put Beenee Weenee can on burner and heat until warm.
  • Serve Beenee Weenees from can.
  • Eat Cheezits from bag. 
  • Eat applesauce from cup. 
  • Put cold water and a packet of Gatorade in each cup.
  • Enjoy!

  • Store trash bag in secure place.
  • After the burner is cool, store it inside a plastic bag so the cooking smells will not attract critters.
  • Wash hands with soap & water, dry with paper towel and use sanitizer.

  • Instant Lunch in a cup
  • Can of Beenee Weenees
  • Cup of applesauce
  • Bag of Cheezits
  • Water
  • Matches  
  • Trash bag

For each person

  • One 9 oz. cup
  • One plastic fork & spoon 
  • One napkin   

Equipment used:

  • Pot holder
  • Burner (one of the following)
    • Alcohol burner
    • Buddy burner
    • Gel fuel stove
    • Hobo stove
    • Propane stove
    • White gas stove
    • Wood burning stove
  • Water purifier

  • Can of Soup
  • Can of Sweet Peas
  • Cup of Fruit
  • Crackers  
  • Instant lemonade
Prepare & Serve
  • Wash hands with soap & water & dry with paper towel.
  • Outside only: Light burner. 
  • Purify enough for instant drink & dishes. 
  • Remove label from soup can and open it.
  • Place can on burner and heat until warm.
  • Serve from can.
  • Remove label from sweet peas and open it.
  • Place can on burner and heat until warm.
  • Serve from can.
  • Open fruit. 
  • Open crackers.
  • Mix Instant Lemonade in cold purified water. 
  • Enjoy!

  • Store trash bag in secure place. Since this is the final meal cleanup for the day, make sure the trash bag is sealed for good. Different ways to seal it are as follows:
    • Twist tab
    • Knot
    • Drawstring and packing tape
  • After the burner is cool, store inside a plastic bag so the cooking smells will not attract critters.
  • Wash hands with soap & water, dry with paper towel and use sanitizer.
